What’s The Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management technique created by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It is a technique that helps individuals increase their productivity by breaking down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.

The technique was originally described in Cirillo’s book “Pomodoro Technique Illustrated”, published in 1992. The name of the technique comes from the Italian word for tomato, as Cirillo used a kitchen timer shaped like a tomato as the timer for this method.
