You can only have one thing as your priority at a time; by definition, a priority is above everything else. You can have multiple things that matter ( your priorities), but at any given time you can only focus on one thing, so that is your immediate priority.

There are tons of habits for success that you can start; however, prioritization is an underestimated and underutilized skill that has positive effects in many areas.

If you know how to prioritize your day, you will:

  • Have clarity on your goals and what’s important.
  • Improve time management.
  • Improve productivity.
  • Make better decisions.
  • Help you achieve your goals faster.
  • Maintain a work-life balance that works for you.

You can try all the different techniques for improving productivity and maintaining a healthy work-life balance, but if you just learn to prioritize, it will impact how you plan your daily schedule, improve your time management skills, the goals you create, and the way you spend your downtime, and give you clarity on what truly matters to you.
