Three sustainable tips to make eating healthy and losing weight more affordable, exciting, and better for the environment.

One of the benefits of prioritizing your health is that it’s better for the community. When you eat with the seasons, you’re promoting sustainable farming practices with your dollars. When you’re healthier, you’re less of a strain on public health resources. When you weigh less, you have more energy to move throughout the world.

I’m sure I don’t need to convince you that it’s a good thing to be healthy, even though the list goes on.

A lot of the fear around prioritizing health is that it’s more expensive. It doesn’t have to be, though! Sure, vegetables are always going to be more expensive than a double-double from In-N-Out. But with the right meal planning strategy and approach to moving your body, you can keep your grocery bill in check and still lose weight.

On top of meal planning, I’ve adopted a strategy of reusing and repurposing food for an added bonus. Not only does this make me feel good about my contribution to the environment, but it helps save a few dollars as well!
