Where We Haven’t Been- Poem 06/25/2023
Let’s go somewhere new…
I wrote this poem on a day in which I wrote 2 related to the same situation (the previous is called Golden Drip if you’d like to check it out).
It was obviously a very inspired day!
Where We Haven’t Been
All of a sudden
I feel a fire ignited within me
Stoked slowly
Yet arising suddenly
I feel the desire
To pull you close
Towards me
To let those flames embrace us a bit
To be engulfed
To give in
To be where we haven’t been
Not sure if this is me or you
Or the heat between us
But it’s crackling.
It’s interesting because if you read the previous poem, you would see that it’s very soft, warm, ooey, and gooey.
Although written back-to-back, this one has a more hot, fiery aspect to it — lots of heat and spice.
How unexpected that one situation could provide such different emotions and perspectives in the same day.
