I am an art lover and just curious about her achievement in the artwork; She was born in Baghdad, Iraq. In 1966, she was an internationally-renowned artist who exhibited her work in numerous solo and group shows across the globe. Salim began her career as a painter as a self-taught artist before moving into sculpture, installation, and video art. Her early works often explored the female form and the relationship between the body and nature. Salim has turned her attention to more political themes in recent years, using her work to comment on the social and political situation in her homeland of Iraq.
