This week, we introduced a great new capability to Illumineto Spark. As you know, with Illumineto Spark, you are creating highly personalized webpages that you use to engage with your prospect or customer. The information on these pages has been quickly curated by you (using Spark of course) to provide them the specific information they need to help make a purchase decision. Typically, you email a link to these pages to your recipient or like most Spark users, you send a rich email which includes the text from your Spark Page and thumbnails representing the content on the page itself. Spark makes the sending of these emails super easy, with just a click of a button. Once received, clicking on any of the thumbnails or “read more” links in the email takes the recipient straight to the page.

Send Spark Pages with your favorite email app

A downside to letting Spark send your pages as emails is that the sender email address is no-reply@illumineto.com, (however the reply-to address is your own email address). This is a very common method used by most applications that send messages on your behalf. That said, we understand why you may not love this approach. And that’s why we did something about it.

Illumineto Spark now deeply integrates with your Gmail and Outlook, making sending messages even better.

Now, you can connect your Gmail (which includes organizations that use Google Apps for their email) as well as Outlook to your Illumineto Spark account. When you do this, all of your Spark Pages will be sent from your email address (bye-bye no-reply@illumineto.com). But wait, there’s more! All of your Spark Pages sent will also be found in your Sent mail folder too. And in the case that you sent a Spark Page to multiple recipients, you will find individual sent emails (one for each recipient) in your Sent mail folder.

We use Google Apps for our corporate email here at Illumineto and I have to tell you, we love this new capability. And we think you will too.

If you’re an Outlook user, everything mentioned above 100% applies to you too, which is great. The one thing to note however, is that our integration requires your company to be using Office 365 — basically that means your mail server is being hosted by Microsoft. Not sure if that’s the case? Fear not — we put together an FAQ in our Help Center that shows you how to quickly tell if you’re company is using Office 365 or not.

If you’re an existing Illumineto Spark customer, you’re really going to love this new capability. To quickly connect your Gmail or Outlook to Spark, just head to your Illumineto Spark Integrations settings and click “Add New Source.” You will find both Gmail and Outlook there along with all our other integrations.
