Diwali is a festival of lights and Joy. And what brings more joy than a gift of life.

Being an Education Company, illumnus LMS started with a vision to educate the young generations to create, a better, more collaborative future where everyone is happy and healthy. A world where education goes beyond the books and formulas.

Someone great once said, “Every change that happens for good starts with great education.”

So What?

So, this year we decided to celebrate Green Diwali, by gifting a plant to the educators who share our vision, and who lead by example.

But Why?

We started this green campaign because it is not physically possible for us to reach every student and teach them the value of planting more trees and caring for them too.

And How?

We rely on these educators to pass along the message because a book can never teach the kids better than our amazing teachers can.

So we wrapped up these little mugs containing baby Sansevieria plants, along with a short caring guide so they can get all the love they deserve.

Why Sansevieria?

This is a NASA recommended air-purifying plant that can clean the air in its vicinity of up to 200 sq mt.

Also, this plant needs very little caring and can survive the harshest of environments.

What now?

Well! this is only the start.

Now we make sure that our message is reached to everyone with big dreams for our mother planet.

We plan to launch a lot more campaigns along the way, gifting more plants, setting up kitchen gardens (a new blog on this is on its way), teaching waste management and new and innovative ways for farming and more.

A big thanks for Team Trees for inspiring us. They are planning to plant 20 million trees before 2020. They have already planted 15 million trees till now.

If you have any ideas of your own, on how to prepare our kids for the future, we are all ears 👂
