We all love our hair. It is one of the most prized possessions we have. However, we still struggle to find the right combination of products that would make our hair spectacular!

· Oiling:

Ouch. Well, no one wants to hear that. Give yourself a head oil massage before getting under a lukewarm shower. That keeps the hair nourished and gathers all the dirt before your wash. End your shower with a 10-second cold water blast to seal the hair cuticles.
· Shampoo:
Now that you’ve oiled your hair, let’s get this party started. Finding the right shampoo is the next step. Shampoos trap the excess oils and dirt, and rinse out easily, making you feel light and fresh.
Just like how the first fish you see in the ocean need not be Nemo, the first shampoo advertisement you see need not be the best fit for you. You need to try out various types of shampoos and see what suits your hair the best.
Environmental damage and pollution also cause hair damage. If you live in a city with water woes, look out for shampoos that cater to your specific needs.
· Conditioner:
A good conditioner is a must in everyone’s hair care regimen no matter how busy your life is. Shampoos open up the hair cuticles, whereas conditioners seal it back up! Conditioners moisturise the hair, preventing split ends and static issues. If you’re confused about what suits your hair, consult an experienced stylist or specialist who will give you an unbiased opinion.
· Hair Serum:
Lock in that moisture and get amazing smelling hair with a good hair serum. The trick is to not apply a lot and to not apply it at the roots. It will leave your hair looking glossy and protect your hair from the heat. Say bye-bye to dryness and frizz!
· Let’s get those knots out!
Always go easy on wet hair! Use a wide-toothed comb to prevent unwanted hair loss. Hair brushes are a big no-no when hair is wet.
P.S.: Clean your comb in shampoo or antiseptic water from time to time to ensure its cleanliness. Using antistatic combs helps reduce frizz and flyaways and lets you style hair with ease.
· Uh Oh! Is something on fire?
Before you get those straighteners and curlers out, don’t forget your heat spray. As such, it doesn’t affect the texture of your hair, but it does jump in when that amazing texture is about to be named “burnt”. Capiche?
P.S.:Also look for heat resistant high quality brushes while blow drying to allow optimal heat dispersion.
· Hair Spray:
Okay, we’ve covered the protection needed before styling, but what about after? What’s the point in spending an hour with Rebecca- the straightener (yes, the name of the straightener is Rebecca, live with it) if it all unfurls in the next 10 minutes? Once you’re satisfied with your ritzy hairdo, lock it in with a good hair spray. You can carry yourself with confidence the entire day without needing to worry about your sweaty scalp.
Oh, and don’t forget to wash it off after you’re back from that party! Use a good cleansing shampoo, preferably one that is designed to remove product deposits.
· When you’re running late but need to wash the hair, who ya gonna call? DRY SHAMPOO!
For the awesome geniuses on the block, yes that was Ghostbusters. For the rest, ah well. Dry shampoo is the perfect fix for days when your hair looks like it has been dragged through a bush but you need to leave the house in 5 minutes. Spray it on real quick and comb it through to spread it out. Et Voilà!
