Reconsider

At times the bravest thing we can do is to genuinely consider a different perspective.

That can take so much courage because we often blur the line between who we are and what we believe so that we can take comfort in the siren’s song of certainty and extract personal affirmation from associating with those we see as like-minded.

But we should all strive to see ourselves as distinct from any single set of beliefs so that we may experience the mercy of becoming rather than the futile illusion of completion.

Do not confuse standing still with having arrived. Reconsider.
