This week πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ came out with a πŸ†• update that added a πŸ†• feature to their πŸ“± app: πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ πŸŽ₯. This is just another πŸ‘£ that πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ has taken in their move to become more like πŸ‘» and Instagram. First it started with πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ adapting their πŸ’¬ app to be more like πŸ‘» with the option of adding stickers and ✍️ over πŸ–ΌοΈ. Now, the latest edition of this evolution has made its way to the main πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ site, however, this new πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ πŸŽ₯ feature is receiving πŸš«πŸ˜„ reaction that it πŸ™ for. 🚫 only are🚢🚢🚢 expressing their 😠 opinions in person, but also through 🐦.

If you take a scroll through 🐦 and search β€œπŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ πŸŽ₯” you will find a lot of πŸ™„, memes, and πŸ‘¨β€βš–οΈmental πŸ’¬ stating people will unπŸ‘― someone if they use πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ πŸŽ₯. Overall, most reactions range from πŸ˜•, πŸ€”, πŸ™„, πŸ˜‘, 😷, and 😑. 🚫 a πŸ‘ reception.

Personally, I 🚫 like the πŸ’‘ of πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ πŸŽ₯. I never even liked the πŸ’‘ of Instagram πŸŽ₯ and live feeds, which they copied from πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜. Even though conceptually it all is the same πŸ’‘, I feel most exposed on πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ so I would never post a πŸŽ₯ to my page. Maybe that’s because I have the most connections on πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜, some of which are πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§ members that I would 🚫 want πŸ‘€ the more personal side of my life. That could be the reason 🚢🚢🚢 🚫❀️ πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ πŸŽ₯ because they feel more exposed.

Another reason 🚢🚢🚢 might 🚫❀️ this new πŸ’‘ is because these social media platforms are no longer unique; they’re all the same. So the ❔ is, why are they πŸ–¨οΈing each other? Why allow themselves to merge into practically the same social media source? Isn’t the point of πŸ† out competition to be unique and πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅? I know that at some point when one company finds a πŸ“ˆ method, other companies will soon follow in a similar ↗️. For example, Samsung and 🍎 β€” 🍎 produces the πŸ“± Air2️⃣, Samsung creates the πŸ“±Galaxy Tab S2️⃣ β€” but they each retain elements of their individual brands. πŸ‘¨πŸ“˜ and Instagram don’t seem to fit the πŸ‘» model of live/πŸŽ₯ posts as well; their updates just seem 😬 and don’t fit their unique brands. So the ❔ is where is all this headed? Are these 3️⃣ platforms going to merge and become one giant social media source? I guess only ⏳ will tell.
