A website titled “davidwolfe.com” posted an article called “3 Reasons Why You Should Stop Eating Peanut Butter Cups!” that shocked many people on Facebook. Over 207,000 people to be exact! But what people didn’t know was that this article in fact contained misinformation. I found this article on Facebook and found it very hard to believe as I am a huge fan of Reese’s peanut butter cups. So, I decided to do some digging…starting with a Google search on the author.

David “Avocado” Wolfe is an American Author and conspiracy theorist. Once I saw “conspiracy theorist” I immediately had a feeling it was fake. Wolfe is an activist for raw food, anti-vaccinations, and the flat Earth conspiracy. He has many… interesting… theories that one could find on his very popular Facebook page. He has many followers, but is what he saying true?

No, what Wolfe is saying is NOT true. The facts he states in his articles are false information about the ingredients in a peanut butter cup and he made the ingredients seem far worse than they actually are. So people, eat your peanut butter cups without worry and be careful what you see on Facebook.
