What is Social Media?

Social media is a blessing, a curse, a job, and a lifestyle. I use social media every single day of my life and will continue until it seems appropriate to stop.

In society today, a person’s social media is a glimpse into their mind and their life. Most people that use platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Tik Tok display their interests for the world to see. It’s a beautiful thing that connects people from all around the world through similar interests or contrasting opinions.

I believe the future of social media is some sort of metaverse esque platform. Maybe it’s what Facebook is building through Meta, or maybe it’s an entirely different type of platform that we aren’t yet able to comprehend.
