Hello and good to see you here! Wondering what you are going to find on this website?

This blog is a colourful, collaborative collection of impressions, ideas, and perspectives by students of the International Master of Adult Education for Social Change (IMAESC), who are from a range of different countries and cultures and look at the world with curious and attentive eyes.

When you read our blog entries, always keep in mind that everything we experience is filtered through our way of perceiving things. Reality is subjective, and nothing we say here is entirely true and right, or entirely false and wrong. We want to promote tolerance and open-mindedness by sharing our views and perspectives with you. Feel free to do the same through comments, so that we broaden each others’ horizons!

Most blog posts will be in English, as that is also the language we use to talk to each other in this course, and many people in the world are able to understand it. But sometimes we forget that there is even more people who don’t understand and speak (“perfect”) English. And who sets the standards for “perfection” or “correctness”, anyway?

Blog posts here for this reason don’t aim at being in “perfect” English, or sometimes might be in another language. Why? Being able to speak and write in English is important in for example our programme — but sometimes, the “correctness” is given too much importance, more than what the words try to convey. So, as a reader, feel free to enjoy the content of the blog posts and the variety that is created when other languages mix with English!

To make it a bit easier for you to browse through the entries, blog posts are usually put into one or several categories. Choose one from the menu or just scroll through all posts here!
