Today, website performance is the key when it comes to increasing traffic in most businesses. A quick and user-friendly website is crucial if you want to take your place at the competition. We had a speed issue on one of our older projects. Our website’s loading time was too long. When we asked Google about our website performance, it suggested fixing image optimization issues. These issues were using new generation formats, resizing images, efficiently encoding images and serving static assets with an efficient cache policy.

Then a search was started to find the best image optimization tool to stick with. There were more than 30 online image management tools on the internet. A few of them had really good services and features including storage and CDN, but we thought that they were way expensive for us.

We started to make our own optimizations. This was a time-consuming process. Applying all optimizations to images one by one was inefficient. We thought that in order not to fall into repetition, we must optimize this process, too. Then we decided to make our own online image management solution and started to develop our own.

As we are developing the tool, we saw that image optimizations are underrated and they have an undeniable effect on websites’ performance and SEO. Image optimization issues were damaging our users’ experience and preventing us from climbing up at the search results when they are not resolved. While we are coding it we were already having great response times on images that we applied optimizations on. We had already outrun our competitors.

After we developed the image4io we were very happy with the resulting performance. But optimizations didn’t end with that. Before launching image4io, we optimized prices and packages to suit your needs best.

We then launched image4io. We got great results with our first customers. image4io was roughly halving loading times of websites with optimized images.

Also when there is no image optimization on a website, image4io dropped response time to less than one-tenth.

And now image4io (this is not even it’s final form :) is an online tool that handles all necessities in the meaning of image optimizations included SEO, image CDN and much more beyond. image4io has a free plan if you want to try your web performance with it.
