TRIGGER WARNING: Suicide event.

Violet was getting sleepy. The last thing she saw was a photo of her as a child with her family on vacation at Disney World. As her eyes closed, she whispered, “I’m sorry. I love you.”

An hour later, the front door slammed shut. “I’m home. Anyone here? Mike? Violet? Are you guys here?”
