The Internet of the Air’s (IoT) micro-payment solution, with mobile phone airtime as its internal currency, is a better, faster, commission free mobile phone based technology for the financial inclusion of girls and women, because the high commissions and cumbersome customer experience of current micro-payment tools impede access by billions of women to the formal digital economy for stuff under $10.

The Internet of the Air’s innovation is a highly dynamic network, vs the static model based on banks and credit cards; a network that combines and magnifies the leverage of global digital merchants, internet agents, and Telcos with both philanthropic and venture finance by the creation of a networked currency of monetized airtime — to lift women and girls out of poverty. Within 24 months, at least 1 billion IoT transactions can be completed by 500 million unbanked women and girls and their families and friends; and 5 Telecom Operators, covering Asia, LATAM, Russia, and CIS countries incorporated.

This “networked-currency”, transferable between consumers and merchants; consumers and their families and peers; and Internet Agents and their affiliates — will include the billions of the unbanked into both the digital economy and formal digital finance by eliminating these commissions and radically simplify the experience because of a virtuous network-currency effect. The world-wide scalability of this network is achieved by skipping over the very local, cumbersome, and restrictive banking regulations (and cash transactions) and relying only on the far more homogenous telecommunications regulations (and digital, mobile transactions).

The “WHO, HOW, and the WHAT” of The Chronotopics’ frictionless and borderless Web of Things economy.

For Telcos, The Internet of the Air improves both margins and revenues — by plugging-in Telco’s current customers who have no financial tools into the $1 digital economy — customers that together control $5 trillion in spending power. For these unbanked customers who rely on informal financial mechanisms, such as cash, jewelry, or livestock, The Internet of the Air provides access to the formal economy; access to new, but distant labor markets; and secure commission-free remittances to help them withstand financial shocks. By eliminating transaction costs and functioning seamlessly across markets, geographies, and nation states, this networked currency will make leverageable the trillions in “dead capital” assets owned by the poor.

For Internet Agents (IAs), such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, or Facebook, The Internet of the Air vastly expands internet access by a self-financing methodology for the extension of the far edge of the web; and by shrinking IAs costs of compensating a long tail of affiliates.

For web merchants, a smooth and secure integration of frictionless and borderless transaction technologies.

Approach

The Internet of the Air will deploy a highly dynamic network that combines and magnifies the leverage of global digital merchants, internet agents, and Telcos with both philanthropic and venture finance, by the creation of a networked crypto-currency of monetized airtime — to lift women and girls out of poverty. The The Internet of the Air Is adaptable to the differing governing social and behavioral norms present across the globe, because it is culturally independent by design; ready to produce meaningful, useful evidence with marketing teams interacting with our analytics engine; and produce results of how access to and the use of this networked currency can revolutionize the storage, transaction, securing, and building of financial value for women, girls, and their families living in poverty.

The world-wide scalability of this network is achieved by skipping over the very local, cumbersome, and restrictive banking regulations (and cash transactions) and relying only on the far more homogenous telecommunications regulations (and digital, mobile transactions).

Women will be organized and trained to be the founders and leaders of these new businesses by women led marketing teams modelled after Fred Ross and Cesar Chavez’ “community-organizing” — joining with local women’s rights groups “organizing” neighbour-to-neighbour; house-to-house; and village-to-village.

Internet of the Air alternative financial ecosystem will disrupt poverty by super-charging the micro-transaction space, sparking to life vast and vibrant markets on a global scale — with women at its core. There are so many things The Internet of the Air can do natively with our quick, simple, and convenient check-out experience and its high X-7 conversion rate — that 2nd and 3rd generation sustainable peer-to-peer business will spring up, such as ruthlessly-affordable zero-commission remittances.

We believe the Paul Pollack Team is the ideal partner to engender the goodwill necessary for the construction of this network and scaling it world-wide.

Goals

Construct of a global “VISA”-like structure of Telecom Operators and Internet Agents comprising 10 Telecom Operators capable of reaching 2.8B people on 5 continents. Within 24 months, at least 1 billion IoT transactions will be completed by 500 million unbanked women and girls and their families and friends; and 4 Telecom Operators, covering Asia, LATAM, and CIS countries incorporated.
