My umbrella tree in the Three.js Editor

I have been continuing my work from last week of making models and placing them into my world. It has been tedious and I’m still struggling with how my world looks since it is not complete. After comparing my 3D world to others I feel like changing my terrain from a flat plane to a hillier one would give it the liveliness it needs and be engaging to the user. However, my user navigation only works successfully on a flat plane and I’m not sure how to change my navigation to accommodate changes in terrain, as well as the fact that I’m not sure how slow my application will run in browser since it will constantly have to account for changes in terrain. My solution to this problem is to just add hill models that blend in with the plane so I can give it that hilly look but not have to struggle with reworking the navigation.

Based on feedback from my professor I will also not be attempting to include VR in my world anymore. The experience and look of the 3D world is more important than incorporating VR. I rather be able to present a full project at the showcase instead of a poorly crafted world that the user can view in VR.

This coming week I think I will make a plan of all the features I want to include in the final world since we have less than a month left until the showcase.
