Pre-Construction Stage Week 2

As we are continuing the pre-construction processes of our project, Dustin and I are finding that our plans are finally coming together. Considering our constant communications around our project, we have found that being on the same brainwave with one another, makes the project that much easier.

This week we worked on pricing our materials and figuring out any other pieces that we would need to create our project. We have come up with a few more ideas as far as the construction of the machine itself. We had recently come to the idea that the play field can be slid out of the cabinet in our final design and we had to come up with a few work-arounds for that involving the legs and the main body itself. In order to complete this, we plan on adding a hinge to the front panel of the cabinet in order to open the machine and slide the play field in easily. We also decided that the back panel of the machine will be more of a box rather than a flat board to give our machine more of a pinball-esque feel.

We plan on buying the materials this week and starting our building process in order to give us as much time as possible.
