Between three consecutive weeks of blizzards and breaks, I have had a very strange time organizing project work and figuring out what I should be focusing on next. I’m practically finished with the actual production of display pieces, having just finished the last 2D painting I intend to include.

Another GIF for the sake of example; character belongs to Jecksy.

With April fast approaching, and with it the showcase where everything should come together, my next step should be to pin down what exactly the vehicle of presentation for my gallery is. I’ve talked about this necessity in earlier updates, but up until recently I’ve been indecisively waffling over my options — everything from a standard scrolling gallery to time-lapse videos with next to no interactivity demanded of them. These are easy solutions, ones I’ll have to use if all other options fail, but I don’t want to resort to them while I still have time to experiment with far more rewarding routes.

This is an awful screen capture, but I provided a link to the actual timeline.

So something occurred to me this pats week while I reviewed my trip to the Museum of the American Revolution — their use of touchscreen timelines. To that end, I’ve been trying to find some simple A simple, scrolling line that changes the image above it and gives the use the option to tap a button and learn more about the instance they stopped on. This format lacks the automatic play feature I was hoping to include for at the start of this project, but if I can get anything even remotely close to this example, I’ll be happy. I’ve already found some decent uses of JavaScript timelines that I’ll be researching over the next week.
