Looking back on my four years as an Interactive Multimedia student at the College of New Jersey helps me see the progress I have made to get where I am today.

If I could change anything, I’d be an IMM major from the beginning and maybe take a minor.

I missed out on some opportunities because I started as an open options art major then tried to become a visual arts major. I finished as a IMM major.

In the end, my path helped me learn a new skill set, and I finished the way I wanted to.

My thesis project — Smash Attack: Battle Royale taught me coding, graphic design, sound design and public speaking. Along the way, I bonded with other seniors.

I had some laughs, some stressed out moments, fun times, and got to achieve some goals. I am proud to have finished Smash Attack: Battle Royale.

At the showcase, a lot of people came played my game, and they seemed to really enjoy it. Players understood my objective, and I was so glad to see my project succeeding.

If I ever take Smash Attack further, I’d add some new player interaction options, such as two-on-two or one versus three.

Special Thanks: My Mom and my stepdad, my friends Ryan Strenkowski, D’andre Bright, Davon Wanza, Luke Nelson, Jonathan Sayre, John Liou, Dave Paulson, and Sara Howarth, Ana Artieda, and many others for their constant support.

My professors: Chris Ault, Warren Buckleitner, John Kuiphoff, Teresa Nakra, and Joshua Fishburn. My old advisor: Dr. James Day for helping become an IMM major. Michael Martin and Dustin Guillemin for their support and allowing to help with their thesis.

To the entire IMM department — thank you very much for everything.
