This week we have drafted a rule sheet for our game. The creation of the rules sheet will make it possible for an outside party to play our game and have their own personal understanding and coherence for Monsters and Mayhem. Our goal is to create a rules sheet that anyone can pick up, read, easily understand, and get on with playing the game. Ideally someone should be able to play the game correctly without Johnathan or myself telling them what to do or how to do it. In its current state it outlines the different types of cards, the different types of spaces, how to win, how to lose, the roles of the players, the role of equipment, spells and curses, and how the two players play the game and move around the board. The rules sheet still needs work and revising but as it stands it holds a good basic and understandable framework that will be easy to edit and refine down the road.
