After getting the Kinect to finally show some images from the camera, the next step was to get the avatars to react with the objects which as of now are eggs, in order to be able to keep them up. In this there is going to be some scripting involved which I’m not really good at. So I’ve been doing some research on that front trying to figure out how I could do this. I found a way to create the gesture demo so that the screen actually reacts with your movements. So as of right now it’s just a cube with pictures on it that flips depending on movements made by the user. It works pretty well as of now, the only problems I was having was the distance you are from the camera so it picks up everything could vary depending on the size of the person. However this was quickly remedied by standing about 1 meter away from the camera so it catches everything and making wide movements with your hands so it’s clear to the camera which gesture is being made.
