I have read lots of comic books back in the earlier days of my youth. Some of my favorites include Star Wars: Rise Of The Empire and most recently SAGA. So many interesting stories to delve into, but there was always something lacking with their presentation. The illustration work is beautiful with most of the books that exist, however, there was always some part of me that would actually like to see them move, not literally, but at least have some sense of motion to feel the actions aking place the further you read. Incorporating this kind of book with these features would be a challenge, but there are ways to do it. Panoply is one such tool that allows for storytelling to be constructed in a different fashion not relatively known to the comic spectrum, and by utilizing the power of the Unity Engine, the possibilities are almost endless to a degree.

Panoply is a very useful tool for creating books of the comic nature and other visual tails that one can imagine. Surprisingly it is not used as often as I would have liked it to have been with other artists out in the field. There have been a number of books and interactive stories created using this tool, but again as I scope around online to look for any more works using the tool, I get results I'm not too fond of, So far I could only find about six or seven stories and interactive media posts created with the tool. It is honestly quite baffling, to say the least. One comic I happened to come across was created by the maker of this tool entitled “Upgrade Soul”. His name is Eric Loyer, and he is the main creative director of Panoply. Another comic I happened to find on my search was one called “Protanopia” A 3D based comic using the tool to produced imaged that look as if the entirety of the story is popping out at the reader. There were a couple of others, but these two seem to strike out the most as they are the first to appear within search results.

Since there is a lack of entry based on results I have gotten from mt endless research, I am writing this as a plea to other content creators and digital comic artists to consider giving Panoply a try. It's interesting for a small addon to have such capabilities to produce comics that can offer a sense of movement and fluidity that really motivated the reader to continue on, offering them a different experience than one that would simply involve just looking at a page and just scrolling through looking at static images. That to me is a boring way of reading a graphic novel. when there is a way to make them look and feel better than they ever could. Hell, if anyone out there who is interested in making their own story, they could get the opportunity to produce their own work in a newer fashion. It creates another window in other talents who are begging for people to notice their skills at creating art.

Perhaps if there is a chance that a seasoned artist where to see this tool, knowing nothing about it of the sort, they could give it a try and promote is usefulness to others in the circle. The creator had in the intention of offering an alternative way for visual story creatin, and hopefully, by some miracle, my words will not go unnoticed. A panoply is a great tool for creating digital comics and visual stories, and I sure hope the larger world will accept it once more.
