This week I worked on the opening cinematic for the trailer I am creating for my visual novel. The cinematic features the main protagonist, Adelise falling through an abyss. She will fall through various backgrounds such as a dreamlike starry sky and a submerged underwater sequence. The part of the animation where it seems like it slows down is tailored for that specific underwater section. The animation ends with her opening her right eye, which is revealed to be an unusual golden hue.
Overall I wanted to capture a sense of the surreal that is integral to the overall theme of my visual novel.
