This week was another straight forward week. Since the showcase is almost here it is safe to say that the next week is going to be a busy one. This week however ended up being another tweak things week.

The textures in some of the environments are not showing up when put into Unity. I tried to remedy that this week. I went into Blender3D and tried to unpack (you can “pack” the textures into the file so that if you move the file the textures do not break if you are using a file for textures) all the textures to see if that would help. Unfortunately this was unsuccessful and it is still a mystery why the textures are working in some of the files and not all of them.

The end solution to all this that we are going to use my textures and plants in Unity to remake the environments. A major set back but we will manage it somehow. I just wish it was not so close to the showcase. Maybe if there was more time this could have been solved.

On another note, it was realized recently that some major assets were not even made yet. The actual machine that you are working to put back together and the said pieces to do so haven’t been made yet. That is my task for this upcoming week. Make the models of the machine and the pieces that are going to be used in the puzzles. Also I have to draw up and 2D representation of the inside of the machine for the actual placement part of the puzzles.

This is going to be a very busy week coming up, but we are in the home stretch. We can do this!
