Optimism Sprint 7

With only a month left before the senior showcase, the game is really starting to take form. Environments for all three levels are now implemented.

Level 1, The Forest

Level 2, The Field

Level 3, The Canyon

I am a tad unsure of how to guide the player through these environments Rebecca has made. She left them rather open, but our game has linear goals and the player is not meant to explore the entire environment. I will have to proceed carefully to preserve the open feeling of these environments while also guiding the player along the intended path.

For next week, I am looking into a method to add text dialog to the game. This will also mean finally introducing our helper characters, the spirits. See you then!
