Split-Screen Your Virtual Webcam in 10 Steps!

Make your remote team comfortable with you working in Immersed on video calls!

Featuring split-screen IRL webcam with Immersed Webcam on Google Hangouts.

10 Steps:

1. Install OBS.
2. Install NDI Tools.
3. Install the OBS-NDI plugin.
4. FIRST, open the Immersed Desktop Agent so that the Immersed Webcam starts running.
5. NEXT, open OBS on your computer.
6. Sources > + > Video Capture Device > Immersed Webcam:

7. Sources > + > Video Capture Device > FaceTime HD (or equivalent for your IRL webcam).

8. Right-click on the desired video-layer > Transform > Edit Transform:

Crop/move the sides of the video-feed to your liking.

9. Open NDI on your computer. Select “(OBS)” in the toolbar:

10. Open your video-conferencing meeting and select “NDI Video” as the video source:

NOTE: Sometimes, the next time you boot up OBS, it won’t detect the Immersed Webcam.
Solution:
1) Open up the Immersed VR App and click the Virtual Webcam in Immersed.
2) Make sure you can see your avatar on Zoom/Hangouts via the Immersed Webcam directly.
3) Then boot up OBS lastly.
