Parent’s role in the child’s learning
Great parents adopt their approach to the child’s skills and effective learning methodology. They don’t force their wishes on a child to adopt.
When it comes to education, it is tempting as a parent to drag our child into the competition, and wish our child to be one of the top rankers.
And in the process of running this never-ending race, parents often don’t focus on the actual learning.
Let’s take the example of Mathematics. Parents do think that Mathematics is an important subject and their child should perform better in it.
But when it comes to learning, most parents don’t get involved to understand how my child is learning? Is he following the rote learning and memorize the textbook rules to get good ranks in the exams? Or is he learning with the actual understanding of the Math concepts, that he will be able to utilize in real-life as well?
As a parent, it is important to understand this. Learning by discovery is the root of how we as a human always learned. And we should encourage our child to explore, discover something new, and let him learn in the process.
Discovering things, as it turns out, is hugely rewarding for kids (and adults) in fact the high students were getting, the Aha! It is rather an effective motivator in keeping them working, searching for the next one.

Coming back to the role of parents in child’s education, when as a parent, the decision we make for children or help them make a decision, we should be clear about the effective methods of learning.
