In a monumental collaboration, Fuel, the operating system tailored for Ethereum rollups, has announced a strategic partnership with Immunefi, Web3’s premier crowdsourced security platform. This partnership heralds the launch of an Attackathon program that will be the largest audit contest in history.

The Fuel Attackathon program will have a total reward pool of $1.3M. This program will start with a $1M open contest focused on the Fuel code base followed by a $300K reward pool for invite-only programs for 4 Fuel based projects. Only security researchers that have at least 1 valid submission of low severity or higher in the Fuel contest will qualify to participate in the invite-only programs.

Details:

  • Launch of Fuel Academy for Education: May 31st
  • Start of the Education Period : June 3rd
  • Start of Attackathon: June 17th
  • Fuel Project Invite-Only Programs : Dates to be announced.

Fuel’s commitment to fortifying the security infrastructure of the Web3 ecosystem is evidenced by this remarkable $1.3 million reward pool. The initiative signifies an unparalleled effort to ensure the resilience and integrity of Web3 technologies.

By utilizing an Immunefi Attackathon, Fuel is transcending the conventional security audit. This program not only aims to identify and resolve potential vulnerabilities within Fuel’s code base, but also strives to foster an engaged and informed security researcher community. This is accomplished through the comprehensive community education initiative that is included in each Attackathon program. Through educational resources, live streams, and interactive sessions, participating security researchers will gain a deeper understanding of Fuel’s technology, further enhancing the overall security posture of the Web3 ecosystem.

The education initiative only serves to bolster the unparalleled expertise of Immunefi’s 45,000 member security researcher community. Among this community, more than 1000 have successfully identified vulnerabilities that put funds at risk, contributing to the prevention of an astounding $25 billion in potential losses across various projects. With a track record of safeguarding leading projects such as Chainlink, MakerDAO, Synthetix, and Polygon, Immunefi has earned its reputation as a security pioneer.

This strategic partnership between Fuel and Immunefi demonstrates the power of collaboration and community-driven initiatives in safeguarding the future of decentralized economies. As Fuel and Immunefi join forces to raise the bar for security standards, the Web3 ecosystem stands poised to embrace a safer and more resilient future.
