Immunefi is partnering with Celo Camp, a virtual blockchain incubator, to provide security education resources to its projects that are building on Celo’s blockchain. Celo Camp, which provides funding, mentorship, an entrepreneurial inspired 8-week curriculum, and a network as part of its incubator, also wants to offer security education, so its projects can ensure their safety in the cryptocurrency arena. That means partnering with Immunefi to make bug bounties accessible, which are an essential part of the crypto security stack. These bounties are especially important for their DeFi projects to ensure that deposits into their respective liquidity pools remain safe.

Hacks happen all the time, even to projects with a strong dev team and investor support behind them. Cryptocurrencies are the future of financial innovation, making it vulnerable to totally novel attack vectors that can wipe out projects overnight and ruin reputations. While audits are a necessary part of the security stack, they’re not sufficient. That’s where bug bounties come in.

Immunefi is the leading cryptocurrency bug bounty and security services platform, where crypto’s best security researchers review mission critical code, disclose critical vulnerabilities in smart contracts, and make the ecosystem safer. Since its founding just four months ago, Immunefi has paid out over $1.7 million in bounties to its whitehat hacker community, helped disclose almost 60 vulnerabilities, and prevented the loss of $29 million in user funds from potential attacks.

Celo Camp’s growth as an incubator makes it a natural fit for Immunefi, since scale increases the need for security. Immunefi invites Celo Camp projects to onboard with bug bounties and to also join ongoing bug bounty hunts available on its website.

Immunefi’s mission is to be the immune system of crypto, and so with this partnership, we can extend that immune system to Celo Camp projects.

Immunefi CTO and co-founder Duncan Townsend will kick off the partnership with a seminar for Celo Camp projects about secure smart contract development.
