Without a structured framework to showcase their skills, many researchers have had to rely heavily on gathering blockchain data to prove their expertise and track record. This process is time-consuming and cumbersome, whether they’re looking to secure solo audit clients or land choice security positions within a protocol.
We are changing that today with the launch of the Immunefi Whitehat Awards, a formalized way for security researchers to measure their bug bounty achievements on Immunefi and receive perks as they progress tiers.
This is the first time a tiered awards system has been implemented on Immunefi.
This industry-leading initiative not only simplifies the process of verification for auditors to validate their work. It also offers a way for skilled researchers to unlock more opportunities for career growth, while gaining exclusive perks and receiving industry-wide recognition in the process.
Ultimately, it lays the groundwork for individuals to build their own security brand, opening doors to solo-auditing clients and more.
The Tiers, as Introduced:
The Immunefi Whitehat Awards program will be launched in November of 2023, with four initial
tiers. Each tier is differentiated by its own lifetime earnings threshold from paid reports.

The Initiate Tier — $50,000 in Earnings
Congrats! You’ve become an Initiate. It’s time to let it show with your Exclusive Immunefi Swag Pack.

Expect ongoing updates, as we will continually evolve the program by adding new tiers and perks from time to time.
How do I claim my tier perks?
If you’ve reached the earning target, and you haven’t heard from us — drop us a line on Discord to initiate the perk claim process.
For example, if your lifetime earnings total on Immunefi was $40k, and you recently earned a $20k bounty, your updated total will be $60k which qualifies you for the Initiate tier ($50k). We will reach out to perk you with an exclusive Immunefi swag pack.
Similarly, if you have already earned $88k on Immunefi in total, all you need to do is earn an additional $12k to qualify for an Elite tier ($100k). (However, if you have not yet received the Initiate tier perk, there will be extra steps to qualify for it, read the next section).
I already qualify for one or more of the tiers. Will I automatically get the perk(s)?
Perks on this list are not given retroactively to security researchers who have already met any given tier prior to November 3rd, 2023. Meaning, if you already have >$50k in earnings prior to November 3rd, you are not yet qualified for tier perks. However, this can be easily fixed.
Simply find a new high or critical vulnerability with a paid bounty value of ≥$25k via Immunefi, and you will become eligible to receive any perk(s) from the appropriate tier(s) you have achieved.
Example:
Xhacker has earned $120k prior to November 3rd, 2023. Based on this alone, he won’t yet receive any tier perks.
However, after a few more weeks of hunting, he found an additional critical vulnerability, and it was confirmed by the project and paid $30k.
As a result of the recent finding, he is now eligible for both the Initiate ($50k) and Elite ($100k) tier perks.
