Introducing Bug Bounty Boosts: Supercharging Security With Timebound Events
Today, we’re announcing Boosts for Bug Bounties, enabling projects to secure their new code by boosting whitehat interest to hunt on their protocol with greater rewards, support, and glory.
Mark your calendars for our first bug bounty boost: DeGate! Starting November 20th till December 4th — the DeGate bug bounty is getting a boost, with $350,000 USD available for Critical and High severity bugs on top of a guaranteed reward pool of $50,000 USD out for grabs by all participants who hunt on their brand new code.
DeGate will also be holding a technical walkthrough and Q&A on the starting day of the boost.
Even duplicates are eligible for rewards! Just make sure that you submit only high-quality, good-faith reports.
Boosts guarantee whitehats reliable rewards, fame, and a great bug hunting experience.
The launch of Boosts serves to:
- Provide our wider WH community with more certainty in rewards and earning potential on Immunefi
- Create a fun environment to learn new projects and earn rewards along the way
- Ensure speedy response times from projects
- Alleviate worries about restrictive report publication policies
Rewards are re-engineered for Boosted Bug Bounties to create an interesting and low risk bug hunting environment. First, a guaranteed rewards pool now sits on top of Critical and High rewards, so the more bugs found, the more rewards are paid. Second, duplicates are rewarded, with the lion’s share going to the primary finder and the rest being split among all other finders in a Sybil-resistant way.
In addition to the boosted rewards, project response times will be boosted as well, with Immunefi providing Managed Triaging, and SLAs sped up to 24hrs on weekdays. Plus, whitehats will have direct access to project team members via a dedicated Discord channel so they can learn the codebase faster and get technical questions answered ASAP, freeing up more whitehat time for thinking creatively and finding unique bugs.
To build whitehat reputations, a separate leaderboard will be published for boosts, including bug writeups so whitehats can view what was found and review what they missed.
Participation is as easy as signing up to Immunefi and submitting bugs.
