frosty moonlit night with woman sillhouetted black

Frost and moonlight
weave a silver glaze
and silhouetted
trees are black as ink.
Like a thousand times
before and after,
as the dust specks dance and play,
I feel you within me.

The dawn light illuminates
your cold absence,
and with the waning of the moon,
your fading vision
leaves behind just sighs.
Where nightstock has carved
our scented dream,
I smell your fragrance
in the blooms.

Ambiance of what has been
still lingers in the air,
and slides along
a froth of peppered mist.
So I gather up the memory,
and put the stars to bed.
Absorbed in the scent
and murmur of the night,
I am again
with you.
