And then you asked about
my bitten lip at last

I’ve got a scab and it looks swollen
have I been biting it again?

It wasn’t me this time,
I wouldn’t bite that hard
but I don’t mind he did, you know?
but I won’t tell you that

Because you picked up when she called
and I was right behind

So go ahead and kiss me babe
and wonder every time

Whether the bitten lip you’re kissing belongs to you or not
