The way that I met Andy and Vashti and came to tell their story is in line with the theme of the film — it was as though we were meant to be drawn together. Being trusted to follow Andy and Vashti so openly throughout their personal and intimate journey is an honor, responsibility and constant personal learning experience.
BE HERE NOW — An inspiring love story between television superstar, Andy Whitfield, of Starz’s “Spartacus” fame and his charismatic wife, who together take on the most heroic role he’s ever had to play. They generously trusted Oscar® Nominated filmmaker Lilibet Foster to follow them on their quest to heal Andy from a cancer diagnosis, in the hopes that by sharing their journey, they may help to inspire others with challenges and dreams.
And, it’s their courage, humor and love, that reminds the audience that the journey is more important than the destination. Producer, Sam Maydew, who brought everyone together, and director Lilibet Foster, released the film through Be Here Now Productions in partnership with TUGG, beginning in U.S. theaters on April 8th.
