Boomers Collaborative 10–31–18

--

This last week has been busy, lots of updates with our paperwork including but not limited to our pro forma and slide presentation.

Sent a thank you email to bcaustin for all of their insights and for agreeing to help us fill in some of our blank spaces last week. After meeting with bcaustin we have been adjusting our numbers to their 132 unit model.

Sent an email to Jennifer Hicks with True Casa asking for a meeting to discuss how we can gain insight for our project with another industry professional.

Followed up with an email to our contact regarding the Justin Lane site as we wish to have him continue to have good vibes about us as we all move forward and also to keep him aware of our continued progress and interest. Asked the money question of “how much per square foot and the value of the property?”

Reserved a conference room at Impact Hub North for November 12th from 2:00–4:00 pm with the housing group we met with previously. Excited to have Brandon Knicely walk us thru an exercise, should be a real learning experience.

Received a photo from the Austin Cooperative Business Association (ACBA) with their logo so we can add that to our web page as they agreed to be one of our partners.

ACBA Board Member has agreed will help with introductions to both Red Rabbit Bakery and Blackstar to review our $$ for a commercial kitchen and restaurant.

Had many internal discussions on our vision of a mixed use / restaurant shared space with a commercial kitchen. Agreed it will be part of our non-profit foundation (already set up). This will be separate from our LLC (also already set up) which is for housing only. This will help with our costs estimates and give us greater focus on both side of the equation.

Great one-on-one session on Monday. We now have a clearer and more concise timeline with benchmarks to work towards
