Guess Who is Coming to Dinner???

Not only is “Guess who is coming to dinner??” one of my favorite Sidney Poitier movies (To Sir With Love is my fave), but this movie title happens to also be the question of the week for The Chicon Micro Unit Affordable Housing Accelerator.

This workforce housing project will be designed for creatives — artists, musicians, theatricals and others. Yet, I know very few people from this cohort.

We have decided to host a monthly dinner series with creatives to gauge their interest in our concept and get more industry people talking about the important topic of workforce housing for creatives.

The first dinner will be in Central East Austin in November at a location TBD. The concept will be to invite lots of creatives but keep our dinner to less than 15 people. I will facilitate the dialogue over dinner and drinks.

You never know who will show up at a party you throw, but the first step is sending out an invite…so here it goes!
