FOOD REVOLUTION !

I’m writing this blog on the 4th of July — the perfect day to start a revolution! To say that I’m at war with poverty, racial inequality, and diabetes and diet-related diseases would be an understatement! I’m boldly recruiting fellow social impact revolutionaries to join us to implement a strategic new way to change the world!

My new Company, DIVA-LICIOUS BRANDS, is one of the first food product lines scientifically engineered and specifically created for diabetics and those with diet-related illnesses.

This blog is our invitation for you to join our Board and our visionary investors on our mission to change the world, one healthy meal at a time, and to provide life-changing opportunities for folks in under-served communities nationally and internationally.

There are few, if any, products created for and labeled “Diabetes-Friendly” to make shopping easier for the more than 100-million Americans with some form of diabetes or the 385-million folks with this illness world-wide who compose this neglected and under-served segment of the consumer food products market.

Our plans for our new DIVA-LICOUS BRANDS, healthy, diabetes-friendly, flavor-packed, culturally-based food products business, and for the creation of our new DIVA-LICIOUS! mini-market/restaurant franchises are to do well financially, while doing good world-wide.

Our Diva-Licious Brands offices and product fulfillment warehouses, and our DIVA-LICIOUS! mini-market/restaurant franchises will be strategically-located in under-served neighborhoods; near HUD low-income residences, and areas identified as food deserts.

These Diva-Licious Brands neighborhood site locations will provide local residents with easy access to nutritious foods, employment with our Company, career training, and franchise business ownership opportunities, as well as access to an employee transportation and childcare co-op.

We’ve got a well-constructed battle plan, we just need you to support our mission and invest in our shared vision! Together, we’ll accomplish the following:

1)Manufacture our Diva-licious Brands vegetarian-based line of diabetes-friendly food products. Our products are infused with flavorful spices, curative herbs, and alternative forms of proteins, to create environmentally and budget-friendly meals. Our products are tasty transformations of American comfort food recipes and popular ethnic dishes that will contain a full serving of daily recommended vitamins and nutrients.

2)Create a Diabetes-Friendly Certification process, and a definitive and easily recognizable “Diabetes-Friendly” food products label, and create a Diabetes designated grocery store section and shelf space for our products similar to current Gluten-Free sections.

3) Strategically place our Diva-Licious Brands offices and product fulfillment warehouses, and our DIVA-LICIOUS! mini-markets/restaurant franchises in under-served neighborhoods; areas designated as food deserts, and/or near HUD low-income housing to provide area residents with easy access to our Companies’ job training and employment programs; our prepared and fresh foods; and reasonably priced household goods. Our DIVA-LICIOUS! restaurant menu items and food products will also be available via City-wide delivery services.

4) Form a research partnership with a medical school or Company involved in the use of microbiome tests, or a health-focused Foundation to create a nation-wide, multimedia health outreach and diabetes data collection program to compile a statistical analysis and categories for the number of Americans, (particularly non-whites who are disproportionately impacted by diabetes), who are pre-diabetic, controlled diabetics, Type I, Type II and Type III via an in-depth consumer survey and interviews regarding specific health issues, diet, lifestyle, medications and the interview subject’s expressed need for information, concerns expressed, or assistance requested regarding their illness.

5) Raise the funds to produce THE KITCHEN DIVA! healthy cooking and lifestyle television show, a new, nationally-distributed PBS/CREATE network and Cable/streaming 39-episode series scheduled to debut in January, 2020.

Some of THE KITCHEN DIVA! PBS program and subscription content will be based on the data collected from our diabetes health outreach surveys. The most requested health and lifestyle information will be disseminated to millions of viewers and on-line followers world-wide via every form of media available including broadcast, Cable, websites, blogs, E-newsletters, podcasts, social media, and my weekly Hearst/King Features newspaper column and other print materials and cookbooks.

THE KITCHEN DIVA! show will also be a platform to demonstrate the numerous uses of our Diva-Licious Brands food products and recipes, and a way to build a supportive community with our viewers and promote our on-line, subscription-based content as follows:

· Motivate viewers to take charge of the lives and their health via my down-to-earth, humorous teaching methods;

· Demonstrate healthy cooking techniques and diabetes-friendly, easy-to-prepare recipes with accessible, budget-friendly ingredients;

· Re-engineer American comfort foods, ethnic traditional dishes, and family recipes submitted by viewers by replacing unhealthy ingredients with nutritious ones while maintaining the appearance, flavors and textures of the original dish;

· Provide viewer access to expert information about nutrition, diabetes and diet-related illnesses via all forms of print and media;

· Demo DIVA-LICIOUS! brand food products and promote an “As Seen On THE KITCHEN DIVA! Show!” menu for our DIVA-LICIOUS! mini markets and restaurants.

This battle plan is just the first salvo in a long-running war, so who’s ready to join us in our fight to change the world and do well by doing good?
