Haven Connect was recently selected by a panel of judges to participate in a public pitch event with 11 other finalists for a $300K Access Ventures Reconstruct Challenge Grant. The grant aims to fund creative solutions to an affordable housing shortage and to help lower the ancillary costs for low-income individuals experiencing housing insecurity in Louisville and Southern Indiana.

31,000 units are needed to bridge the housing gap for the lowest-income households in Louisville alone, with development costs of $3.5 billion. With high demand and high cost for affordable housing, Haven Connect is pitching to increase operating efficiency and reduce staffing costs with automated workflows for affordable properties. By connecting individuals to available open waitlists opportunities and filling vacancies faster, we can help bridge the housing gap in Louisville and Southern Indiana MSA. Haven Connect is ready to tailor our solution to the needs of property managers in the region and to house applicants faster.

If selected, Haven Connect will participate in a 18-month proof-of-concept phase, and if successful, will have the opportunity to receive additional funds to scale.
