Central Texas Allied Health Institute has identified two specific groups of individuals as their customers/beneficiaries. The first group of individuals are residents living in the Central Texas area who are interested in enrolling in an allied health workforce development program where they will receive a Level One Certification or Associates of Applied Science Degree in one of the following areas:

  • Central Sterile Processing
  • Medical Coding and Billing
  • Surgical Technology
  • Radiologic Technology
  • Health Information Technology

The second group of customers/beneficiaries are individually working in these industries who want to further their education and obtain their applied bachelor degree in the following areas:

  • Surgical Assisting
  • Radiologic Technology
  • Health Information Technology

The first applied arts and science bachelor degree program to be offered at the Central Texas Allied Health Institute will be Surgical Assisting. This program will be offered to Surgical Technologist who wish to become Surgical Assistants and Surgical Assistants who are “on the job trained” and wish to obtain a formal education through an accredited program to fulfill the requirements of applying for and obtaining state licensure.

We believe these programs will be popular and desirable among the groups we have identified and provide the institute with full enrollment on its opening day.
