Many of the videos featured innovations to protect farmers and pastoralists from climate shocks. Its video shares the stories of the farmers who are benefiting from the scheme.
Peru is the third most vulnerable country to climate change in the world. La Positiva’s video shares their decade-long story providing insurance against such risks. And in India, WRMS shares its approach to comprehensive risk management for farmers, including insurance and technical assistance. Ten years ago, Women’s World Banking recognised that health emergencies put the most critical financial pressure on women and their households. See how they have developed their offering from their first pilot in Jordan to a thriving and viable health insurance offering today. The company has reached 1.6 million clients after 11 years in the business. In addition, INISER’s video shares its experience offering life and cancer insurance products in Nicaragua.
Digitalization proved a central theme in the videos. Khai Sheng Tang, in his video featuring AXA Indonesia, explains how digital technology has become the new lifestyle of Indonesian people. Similarly, in Côte d’Ivoire, SUNU Assurances Vie explains how better understanding its client base has allowed it to offer more attractive products and make use of mobile platforms, for example carrying out claims reporting through WhatsApp. HDFC ERGO, on the other hand, has put in place an impressive technological infrastructure in India, allowing them to use fully online platforms for livestock, crop and health insurance.
Finally, Fasecolda, the Colombian insurance association, explains how it has helped grow the country’s inclusive insurance industry over the last ten years.
