The Travelling Trash Tour: one bike, 4 countries and a Trashmingo
The story of how a passion about plastic leads to a crazy bike tour
There are already 500 times more plastic particles in our oceans that stars in the sky
We adore this magical invention: cheaper, stronger and more durable. Or not. Half of the 300 millions tons of plastic produced every year are single-use.
We love our planet, we dream of going to virgin places for our summer holidays or a quick hike in our weekends but plastic pollution threatens to destroy many of our ecosystems. We know it, but it’s hard to beat the inertia.
We believe it is time to start moving. That’s how the Travelling Trash Tour (TTT) was born. A team of plastic passionates wanting to raise awareness about this pressing issue by giving citizens the tools to spark their own little revolution.
Our goal: Rethinking Plastic
We don’t like complaining so let’s find solutions!
Throughout out trip there are events where anyone can join to learn more about plastic issues and on how to act. They include cleanups, design thinking workshops, panel debates and conferences, or a quick meetup and drink to share your experiences 💡!
We want to showcase initiatives which are already fighting pollution, educating people or creating the new sustainable products. We will take you in a journey around Europe to discover the best circular projects and find ways to reduce your personal waste.
Everywhere we go, we are meeting organizations and experts to analyze what are the pressing issues we can work on and what does our community need. After the tour, we will review all the knowledge we have acquired and start tackling the problems!
