The golfer drives the ball from the tee. Visible as a tiny white dot, it flies through the air and lands beyond the crest of a bunker, out of sight. The player can’t see the ball, but they know where it is. They also know its flight speed, spin and trajectory.

All this is known because the sport is becoming connected like never before.
