End of an Era

I’ve been having flashbacks, flashforwards and flashbeyonds, recently.

I sit and listen to the festive pumping of teenagers partying in our house. They’re celebrating, elated. I’m high, they’re not. I listen to my brainwaves as they pound to a rhythm just slightly different than their disco bangers, my heart beats like EDM, my consciousness behind the cinema screen, in the viewers’ seats. I grab some popcorn with my second pair of hands…
