New Publication: Improvising Parenthood
For the majority of us who are making this all up on the fly
What
Welcome to the new publication, Improvising Parenthood. This is a place for all parents living through the daily fails, successes, joys, frustrations, laughs, and tears to be reminded that no one knows what the %$#& they are doing. Every parent is improvising their way through being a mom or dad.
Relax. Laugh. Get back up and fail all over again.
Who
The editor of Improvising Parenthood, Will Dennis, is a teacher and improviser. As such, some stories throughout this publication will focus specifically on how some of the rules of improv (as a performance art) can be applied to parenting, relationships and family. Other voices and writers will also be featured, though, so that this can be a forum for parents from all walks of life to feel seen and heard.
Why
Perhaps the most overused cliché on this planet is,
“Baby’s don’t come with an instruction manual!”
It may induce eye-rolling, but it also has the luxury of being true. Our response:
“No s$#@, start improvising.”
Follow Along
