Single Page Portfolio & Brand Design for Design Agency — Impulsive Web

The first step was to design an attractive and meaningful logo for the agency. I have started playing with some fonts but nothing works, except the Robot Slab a free font available on Google Fonts, after a little tweak into the edges it seems a perfect fit for the brand.

ImpulsiveWeb Logo

The end result came out nice and pretty but plain and simple which leads to add the flash. From the word Impulse the ImpulsiveWeb has formed so adding a flash symbol suites the name perfectly.

Initially it was a mono colour logo can be used either black or white colours, to make the flash icon stand out I tried multiple colours like red, green, blue and etc. After giving another thought that the flash (lighting) should represent the sun I ended up using an unique yellow for the icons, which leads to change the dots over each letter I into the same colour. Which become the brand colours, Black and Yellow.

While process has started and logo has finished, I needed a tagline for the brand. Which I have taken where its all get started, the beginning state of everything.

IT STARTS WITH A BLANK CANVAS

The website I needed to be bold and simple with only few sections like intro, who they are, their expertise, most popular case studies, the brands they work with and contact.

The search for a perfect background image has begin which must match the tagline. I ended up creating the same from various components I had in my library.

Intro Banner for the website

The big an bold logo placed onto the background image with a large shadow for the elevation, and the tagline on the top.

I didn’t feel to add so much stuff like links and etc there so that it wont cover the background image. I have added social links and a button for quote requests.

The section involves about the company and their expertise in a brief with icons, title and small description.

Section Who We Are

The section case studies needed to be out of the box and unique from any portfolio website, so I have used a full screen preview of the end result as a stack with large navigation buttons and a button for full case study preview.

Case studies

Contact page was the minimal, with a quick quote form and contact details with clocks for the respective office location.
