This update is for imToken users to reflect the most problems, to further improve imToken ease of use, new features and bug fixes include:
- Able to search and add Token
- Support exporting private key
- Improved recognition of Android QR code scaning
- Added novice tutorials
Search and add tokens
imToken is able to automatically record and show tokens。For most people, this is not easy to understand. imToken will display all the tokens and theirs amounts which you have. Many people still want to add token by hands and then transfer it. In the 1.3.1 version we add the tokens searching function: clicking the plus icon on the assets page to enter the new asset creation page, now you can search to add tokens by token name, symbol or contract address. If there is not any token you want, you can also click on the bottom of the token search page, submit a new token to us with contract address and logo.
Note: imToken is a ethereum based digital asset management wallet and support tokens that meet the ERC-20 standard. We do not support BTC or ETC currently.
Export private key
imToken now supports the export of private keys. The private key is a string of 64-bit hexadecimal hash string and there is no need to store the private key, because the private key is not encrypted. Using it to back up your wallet is very dangerous, so we highly recommend using KeyStore and mnemonic phrases for double backup.
