What is Fantom and how to Start Using it on imToken
One tutorial for everything about Fantom on imToken
At imToken we recently added support for custom nodes. For you as a user that means, you are able to use DApps and send tokens on many new blockchains such as Fantom.
From the website:
Fantom is a high-performance, scalable, and secure smart-contract platform.
Sounds good but hard to understand? Well, for you as the user it means paying less fees while transfers confirm faster:
To get started with Fantom you will need to add Fantom to your available networks on imToken. For that, imToken currently supports two ways to add a Fantom remote node connection, namely “Add Quickly” and “Add Manually”.
Option 1: Adding Quickly
Click “Add Quickly” to jump to “Chain list”, search “Fantom” and “Connect Wallet” — “Approve” to switch the node.
Option 2: Manually adding a Fantom node connection
Open the imToken wallet and enter the node settings page via “My Profile” — “ Settings” — “Node Settings” — “ETHEREUM”.
Click “Customize” to jump to the custom node page. Fill in Fantom’s network name, RPC address, Chain ID, Symbol, and block browser (), and save it after filling in.
Once the node is successfully added, it will be connected to Fantom’s blockchain network. The name of the network will be displayed at the top of the page and the amount owned by this address will be displayed on the assets page.
Steps to receive and transfer funds on imToken
Confirm that you have switched to Fantom’s node and select “Receive” or “Transfer” on the main page to proceed. If you want to receive money, click “Receive” to copy the wallet address. If you want to transfer money, click on “Transfer” to enter the recipient address and the amount you want to transfer.
