Why I’d do it again, and what I’d change
Fat, out of shape, and miserable about it.
That pretty well describes me from 2020 to 2024.
My transition from athlete to former athlete wasn’t smooth. I fell terribly out of shape, and each attempt to get back in shape failed spectacularly.
Over the years, I tried every different type of training I could think of. Some stuff worked for a while, but it all failed in the end.
It turns out I needed the structure that organized sports provided. Without that structure, I always seemed to fall off the wagon.
One thing I thought about trying, but never followed through on, was the 10,000 Kettlebell Swing Challenge.
I read about the challenge years ago, but never went for it. But this time, I was desperate; nothing else was working. So, I took the plunge.
To be honest, the challenge was incredibly difficult, but 100% worth it.
