Having a healthy gut provides so many more benefits than we all realise.

Absorbing all the foods you eat to fuel your entire body is the absolute basic functioning of digestion.

In addition, digestion governs many other powerful components, such as our mental health, immunity, physical health, and how lean we are.

Our primary aim is to ensure we give our gut what it needs to thrive and help prevent disease throughout our lifetime.

The disease can be linked to improper gut health — about 80 per cent of them, which is pretty huge.

When our gut is imbalanced, and the bad bacteria multiply, the good guys become crowded out.

This can lead to inflammation which slowly and silently damages other body parts.

To stop this from occurring, we have to put a plan in place to allow good-quality bacteria to thrive and keep working hard. Ensuring we eat the right foods and practice beneficial lifestyle habits will push us faster.
